Constitution Highlights

Article 1: Name & Identity

  • Name: God Save Africa and the World
  • Abbreviation: GSAW
  • Colours: Red, White and Sky Blue
  • Body corporate with perpetual succession

Article 2: Aims & Objectives

  • Unity and diversity of all people
  • Fight for social justice and eliminate inequalities
  • Promote economic development
  • Fight all forms of corruption, crime, violence
  • God-led world; innovation and creativity
  • Total human liberation; land distribution

Article 3: Guiding Truths

  • Believes in the Trinity
  • Only God can perfectly lead us to success
  • Believes in freedom of all humanity
  • Open to all who believe in God's dominion

Article 4: Membership

  • Open to all irrespective of colour, race, creed
  • Must abide by the constitution
  • Sign application form and pay fee
  • Shall not belong to another political party
  • Right to express views, elect and be elected

Article 5: Structure

  • National Convention → NEC
  • Provincial Convention → PEC
  • Regional Convention → REC
  • Branch AGM → BEC
  • Women's League (autonomous)
  • Youth League (ages 16–35)

Article 8-9: National Convention

  • Supreme policy-making body
  • 95% delegates from active branches
  • Determines policy, programme & constitution
  • Elects the NEC by secret ballot
  • First convention 2026, then every 5 years

Article 13: Officials

  • President: head, chief directing officer
  • Chairperson: presides over Convention
  • Secretary General: chief admin officer (full-time)
  • Treasurer General: custodian of funds
  • All must be paid-up members for 2+ years

Articles 14-19: Provinces & Branches

  • Provincial Convention: highest organ per province
  • PEC carries out national decisions locally
  • Regions: for efficient, democratic functioning
  • Branches: basic unit, min 20 members
  • Monthly branch meetings, fortnightly BEC

Article 20: Discipline

  • Actions against Constitution: disciplined
  • Actions against policy or decisions
  • Any unlawful or criminal offence
  • Insults and fighting: self-dismissal
  • NEC frames code of conduct for all
